Ian Hastie sent these great shots in and also wrote: "We will definitely be coming back in 2009 as we really enjoyed our stay in October. The first [photo] shows our cocker M'tani having a hard day on the beach, and the second is Tess and M'tani recovering at the cottage after a hard day at the beach."

Lesley and Mike Kadylak and their dog Benson stayed with us last year and sent these photos in, Lesley wrote: "We had our 2nd stay at Helsbury in September and although we didn't think it was possible it was even better than the first time! Our boy (Benson, the Newfoundland) ran round like a mad thing when he arrived - he obviously remembered his 1st visit. We all love Broadview and could happily move in forever! Thank you again Helsbury for a wonderful holiday and we hope to see you very soon."

Andrew Brindle bought his lovely dog Tegan in November, they had a great time even if Tegan looks particularly keen to get back to the cottage!

Vizsla's are getting extremely popular and Andrew also sent this useful guide to their views on property:

1. If I like it, it's mine.
2. If it's in my mouth, it's mine.
3. If I can take it from you, it's mine.
4. If I had it a little while ago, it's mine.
5. If it's mine, it must never appear to be yours in any way.
6. If I'm chewing something up, all the pieces are mine.
7. If it just looks like mine, it's mine.
8. If I saw it first, it's mine.
9. If you are playing with something and you put it down, it automatically becomes mine.
10. It's broken, it's yours.

Hilary Burt stayed with us last year and sent these great shots of her dogs Georgie and Jessie, she said "We stayed at Helsbury Park in February 2008 and had the most amazing week. The weather was fantastic - sunny almost every day but really cold as you'd expect at that time of year. Georgie, our Golden Retriever, and Jessie, our black Lab, had a great time too and we all loved the fantastic Daymer Bay where these pictures were taken."

Hilary's trip to Helsbury Park was the inspiration for her doggy website http://www.out-and-about-with-your-dog.com/.

Cornwall at it's best...

After their two previous nautical outings Griff Rhys-Jones, Dara O'Briain and Rory McGrath return for a third one. Having previously recreated the famous journey of Victorian author Jerome K Jerome, the trio let loose on a variety of vessels in Rory's home county of Cornwall.

Setting off from Plymouth with a plan to make it all the way to the Isles of Scilly, the show has some spectacular imagery from the Cornish coast particularly of the rivers Fowey and Fal. You can watch the show here.
